Just before this 90s’ digital revolution came the 70s’ and 80s’ spiritual revolution. Back then it was the rise of the hippy movement which took place through the cracks left by the 50s and 60s where the blind consumption mechanism came to life through the rise of modern advertising in cinema, radio and TV propaganda.
That propaganda left a spiritual vacuum and reduced the thriving human population to just a bunch of consumers. Such reduction quickly opened the cracks for exploration of other kind of spirituality and modes of life.
Through time, we can definitely notice similar processes with different outlooks, but nothing is really new in the mechanism. Conditioning and de-conditioning, the waltz of evolution it seems. A bit like a washing machine where soap is necessary, but at the same time needs to be rinsed off.
A recurrent process of mass manipulation on one side and awakening on the other side. Those two sides combine their effects into the mechanism of our human evolution.
On the manipulation side, we can effectively witness the extra effort by the business or religious elite to condition the human mind to their own purpose or interest. This is done through the setup of a belief system or a common narrative. It indeed can direct the human race but usually comes with a blinding side effect.
On the awakening side, the more we blind and direct the human race, the more its discernment or inquisitiveness perspire in order to balance the process.
Each of us are here and there blinded by something…
Sometime some of us wake up…
Shall we hack the awakening mind?
